Dot peen marking produces long-lasting, permanent, rugged marks that do not wear off easily, and have great visibility.
In place of a stand alone dot peen marking machine, the TapWriter allows you to produce marks on your CNC machine, while the work piece is being produced, eliminating the need for a secondary marking operation. The long lasting carbide stylus is driven by the machine spindle rotation. No compressed air or coolant is needed to drive the stylus. For each revolution the stylus will impact the work piece two times. The revolutions per minute determines the dots per minute and the force of the impact of the stylus against the work piece. The feed rate controls the distance between dots or you can program for point to point marking with distinct dot positions.
